Our view of Satan as a monster does our theology a disservice.

Satan was simply someone who was in the presence of God and thought there was a better alternative to His rule.

That line of thought is all that separates what's godly and demonic.

This helps me in my faith journey to see the demons in my own thinking that need to be overcome.

As God and His Way are revealed to me through the Word and the Spirit of Truth, where do I think I know a better alternative?

These are the battles that determine the fate of my soul.

This is spiritual warfare.
